ART Grand Prix driver Kush Maini clinched a dominant victory during the Sprint Race at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona on Saturday.

The Indian, who started second on the grid alongside polesitter, Campos’ Noel Leon got a great launch off the line and took the lead at the end of Turn 1.

From there on, Maini executed a flawless drive as he led from start to finish to secure his first sprint victory of the season at the end of the 26 laps.

Today’s victory is Maini’s fourth sprint victory overall in four-year-long career in Formula 2. The 25-year-old is currently eighth in the F2 standings with 39 points, some 32 points behind championship leader Gabriele Mini.
