The second round of Group F match at FIFA World Cup 2026 came to an end with Japan beating Tunisia XX on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, European heavyweight Netherlands thumped Sweden 5-1, thanks to a brace from Sunderland forward Brian Brobbey.

As it stands, the Netherlands and Japan are tied on four points, with the former leading the standings due to a superior goal difference.

The Dutch will face Tunisia in their final group stage game, while the Samurai Blue will take on Sweden, and both of them can book their spots in the round of 32 if they can avoid defeat in their respective games.

Meanwhile, Sweden can clinch qualification if it manages to beat Japan, but will also be in a good position to advance to the next stage as one of the eight best third-placed teams if it can avoid defeat.

Tunisia is out of contention to qualify for the round of 32, as even if it manages to beat the Netherlands and Sweden loses, it will remain fourth because it lost against the Swedes in its tournament opener.
