Bruno Fernandes bagged a record-breaking 21st Premier League assist of the season as Manchester United brushed aside Brighton and Hove Albion 3-0 away from home on Sunday.
In addition to setting up Patrick Dorgu in the first half for the opener, Fernandes also scored a second-half goal which sealed the United’s win on the final day of the league campaign.
Fernandes’ goal contributions sandwiched a 43rd-minute strike from Bryan Mbeumo that put United in control of the game.
This was the 20th win of the season for the Red Devils as they finished third in the standings and secured a return to UEFA Champions League.
Meanwhile, Brighton ended eighth and will now take part in the Europa Conference League next season.
