Two teams from different continents will look to make their FIFA World Cup return memorable as Norway – from Europe – and Iraq – from Asia – lock horns in their Group I clash in Boston on Tuesday.
The Norwegians are returning to the tournament after 28 years, and will rest most of its goalscoring hopes from Manchester City talisman Erling Haaland.
Meanwhile, the wait to play in the World Cup has been longer for Iraq, which will be back after four-decades, and will hope the experience of coach Graham Arnold and the clinical scoring ability of Aymein Hussein comes to the fore in Boston.
Weather is expected to play little to no role in the proceedings in Iraq vs Norway at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
“Plenty of sun” and dry conditions are predicted by the National Weather Service of the United States of America, with generally comfortable weather for the game at Boston Stadium.
The temperature is predicted to be approximately 25 degrees at the 6 p.m. kickoff. They will drop to roughly 21.6 degrees by 8 p.m. and 17.7 degrees at 10 p.m.
There is no threat during the match. The NWS has predicted generally clear skies, along with a slight southwest wind.
