Brazil will take on Scotland in its final Group C game of the FIFA World Cup 2026 with a solitary point enough to seal progress through to the round of 32.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men began its campaign with a hard-fought draw against Morocco before a comfortable 3-0 win over Haiti left them on the cusp of qualification.
The five-time champion will however be without the services of winger Raphinha who has been ruled out of the fixture.
The Barcelona star pulled up midway through the contest against Haiti and had to be substituted off in the 40th minute. He was replaced by Bournemouth winger Rayan who takes his place in the starting eleven against Scotland.
Brazil announced that he will continue to stay with the squad and continue his rehabilitation. “I will do everything in my power to recover and return as quickly as possible,” he posted on social media.
The 29-year-old has had an injury-plagued season at Barcelona with recurring hamstring injuries.
He came into the World Cup with 15 goals and 5 assists for Barca, where it won the La Liga and Supercopa trophy.
