DR Congo’s goal against Uzbekistan was ruled out in their Group K FIFA World Cup 2026 game at the Atlanta Stadium on Saturday.
The African side appeared to have equalised in the 17th minute when Nathanael Mbuku superbly finished into the top corner.
But a Video Assistan Referral suggested that Mbuku had caught Sherzod Nasrullaev’s face with his arm in the build-up to the goal.
The referee went up to the monitor and determined that it was a foul from Mbuku and ultimately ruled the goal out.
