Japan will take on Sweden in a FIFA World Cup 2026 Group F encounter in Dallas in a contest to decide the teams that will progress to the round of 32.
Japan is currently placed second with four points, while Sweden sits in third with one point less.
The referee in-charge for this game is Salvador’s Ivan Arcides Barton Cisneros, who is taking part in his second World Cup.
He was the match official in Japan’s 2-1 win over Germany in the 2022 edition and also the round of 16 match between England and Senegal. He also officiated the group stage match between Turkiye and Paraguay.
He is no stranger to big games, having officiated in the Copa America, FIFA Club World Cup, and Olympics.
