Germany and Ivory Coast will be looking to boost their chances of winning Group E with victory when they meet in Toronto on Saturday, June 20.
The match will be overseen by Paraguay’s Juan Gabriel Benítez, who will be refereeing his first match in FIFA World Cup 2026.
Benitez is an experinced match official, who has taken charge of 258 professional matches including matches in teh FIFA Club World Cup, Saudi Pro League, and King’s Cup.
He has previously refereed two of Argentina’s FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, including a 1-1 draw against Colombia where he gave Enzo Fernandez a red card.
