Indian owned organisation, SKASports Investments Private Limited, on Saturday, announced an acquisition of a minority stake in NSG Global Pte Ltd, which is the parent and management company of Singapore Premier League club FC Jurong
Participating in the top tier, the team, known currently as Albirex Niigata Football Club, plays its matches at the Jurong East Stadium and is one of the eight teams that form the first tier.
It was founded in 2004 and has six league titles to its name, including the famous 2018 unbeaten “invincible” season. It is second on the table in the ongoing season and has officially announced a name change to FC Jurong, which will be implemented from the 2026-27 season.

The club’s women’s team won the Singapore Women’s Premier League in September 2025 and qualified for the AFC Women’s Champions League Preliminary Stage for the 2026-27 season.
Through the partnership, both SKASports and FC Jurong will work together to enhance the sporting and business profile of the club and explore new possibilities for commercial and sporting ventures in the Asian market.
