Indian hockey midfielder Manpreet Singh is set to become the country’s most-capped player when India takes on Germany in Rotterdam on Wednesday.

Manpreet will make his 413th appearance for India, going past former captain Dilip Tirkey’s record of 412 international caps.

Earlier in June, the Asian Games gold medallist had equalled Tirkey’s mark when India faced the Netherlands in Rotterdam.

Manpreet is also the only active Indian player with more than 400 senior international caps.
