England is set to take on Ghana at the Boston Stadium, United States, in both sides’ second FIFA World Cup 2026 Group L match on Tuesday.

England won its first group game 4-2, headlined by a brace from captain Harry Kane. Ghana, on the other hand, secured a late 1-0 win over Panama, courtesy of a 95th-minute winner from Caleb Yirenkyi.

A win for either team puts them top of the group and guarantees its qualification to the next round. While a draw would not guarantee mathematical qualification to the next round, it would put both in a strong position for qualification.

England has played against Ghana only once before, an international friendly in March 11 that ended in a 1-1 draw. Andy Carroll opened the scoring for the Three Lions before Asamoah Gyan equalised in stoppage time.
