Portugal ended the first half against DR Congo with a 1-1 scoreline in their Group K match at the FIFA World Cup 2026 at the Houston Stadium.
Newcastle United forward Yoanne Wissa headed in the equaliser in first-half stoppage time after Joao Neves scored the opener early.
Cristiano Ronaldo remained in the periphery throughout the encounter and managed only 16 passes in the first 45 minutes of play.
The centre forward also had only a solitary touch in the opponent’s box the entire half and also recorded only a single pass into the final third.
Uzbekistan and Colombia are the other two teams placed with Portugal and DR Congo in Group K.
