Former England goalkeeper Mary Earps is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain’s women’s team this summer and is in talks with London City Lionesses, a source told AFP on Sunday.

The 33-year-old former Manchester United player’s contract with the Paris club expires this summer, and she has decided to leave the French capital after two years.

She is in “fairly advanced” negotiations with the London-based, all-female club owned by Michele Kang.

“There are only a few details left to finalise,” the source added.

On Saturday, Earps was not in the starting line-up for PSG’s 1-0 semifinal playoff defeat to Paris FC, but had started in the French Cup final, which PSG lost 4-1 to Lyon earlier this month.

A European champion with England in 2022, Earps retired from international football before the Euros last summer.

PSG has finished a second consecutive season without a title.

Contacted by AFP, PSG had not yet responded, but according to a source close to the club, it is “in discussions with her, respecting her decision”.
