Belgium gets its FIFA World Cup 2026 Group-G action underway with the match against Egypt at Seattle Stadium in Seattle on Monday.

Striker Romelu Lukaku has not been included in the starting line-up with head coach Rudi Garcia preferring Charles de Ketelaere up front.

The 33-year-old has been battling injury throughout the 2025/26 season and made only six appearances for Napoli in the Serie A. The forward had been sidelined with a thigh issue and also inflammation in his hip flexor muscle.

Lukaku is Belgium’s leading international scorer with 90 goals in 126 appearances. Kevin de Bruyne is the second-highest scorer with 37.
