Former Kerala Blasters striker Duckens Nazon was named among the substitutes for Haiti in its FIFA World Cup 2026 opener against Scotland at the Boston Stadium on Saturday.
Nazon had a brief stint at the ISL side during the 2016-17 season and scored twice in his seven appearances for the Kochi-based franchise.
The 32-year-old currently plays his football in Iran for Esteghlal where he has scored once in 10 appearances since joining in 2025.
Nazon is his nations all-time leading goal scorer with 44 goals and will look to become just the second Haitian to score in a World Cup after Sanon, who found the net twice in 1974.
