Striker Patrik Schick and captain Ladislav Krejci lead a 26-man Czechia squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup 2026, announced in Prague on Sunday.
The Czech Republic faces Mexico, South Africa and South Korea in Group A in just its second World Cup appearance. The first came at the 2006 edition in Germany.
The Czechs clinched the World Cup berth after edging both Ireland and Denmark on penalties in the Playoffs held in March.
Koubek called up 17-year-old Sparta Prague midfielder Hugo Sochurek and three other players who made their national team debut against Kosovo.
Hoffenheim winger Adam Hlozek, who scored the match winner against Kosovo, is coming back from injuries that only allowed him to play 37 minutes in the Bundesliga last season.
