Argentina skipper Lionel Messi is set to reach a landmark figure of 200 international appearances when his side takes on Algeria in Kansas City on Tuesday.
Messi, who won the 2022 World Cup, will join Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) and Bader Al-Mutawa (Kuwait) to become the third men’s footballer to play 200 international matches or more.
Messi, 38, who will be playing in his sixth World Cup, has 117 goals for his national team.
