DR Congo has named its squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 starting on June 11 in USA, Canada, and Mexico.
It has been drawn in Group F, alongside Portugal, Uzbekistan, and Colombia, and will start its campaign against Portugal in Houston on June 17.

Led by coach Sebastien Desabre, the squad will be captained by former Newcastle defender Chancel Mbemba, and features prominent names including West Ham United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Newcastle forward Yoan Wissa, and Real Betis forward Cedric Bakambu.
2026 will be the first time the world no. 46 has competed in the FIFA World Cup as DR Congo, though it took part in the 1974 edition of the tournament as Zaire.
