Cyle Larin came off the bench to score a late equaliser for Canada against Bosnia and Herzegovina in their FIFA World Cup 2026 opener in Toronto on Friday.
Larin was subbed on in the 76th minute for Tani Oluwaseyi and converted from a Promise David assist to restore parity in front of a packed home crowd.
Larin is one of the senior-most members in Canada’s squad at FIFA World Cup 2026. The 31-year-old is just second in the list of most appearances for Canada — tied with Jonathan Osorio — and is second on the list of most goals for the Reds, at 31 strikes.
The forward spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Southampton, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists as the Saints reached the Championship playoffs.
