Germany will begin its FIFA World Cup 2026 Group E campaign against Curacao at the Houston Stadium on June 14.
Jayed is a Moroccan referee and has been on FIFA’s international list since 2019. The 38-year-old is set to officiate his first World Cup match as a main referee.
Jalal Jayed is a Moroccan football referee, who has officiated in domestic, continental and international competitions.
He was born on March 23, 1987, and made his Moroccan top-flight debut in 2019. Jayed has also taken charge of matches in the Africa Cup of Nations, CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup and World Cup qualifiers.
According to available referee statistics, Jayed has officiated 100 matches, showing 388 yellow cards and 10 red cards, at an average of 3.88 yellow cards per game.
