Senegal Football Federation on Thursday announced a 28-member preliminary squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 set to be co-hosted by USA, Canada, Mexico.
Amongst the prominent names to be included are Al Nassr’s Sadio Mane, Crystal Palace’s Ismaïla Sarr, and former Manchester United goalkeeper Édouard Mendy.
Goalkeepers: Edouard Mendy, Mory Diaw, Yehvann Diouf
Defenders: Krepin Diatta, Antoine Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Mamdaou Sarr, Moussa Niakhate, Moustapha Mbow, Abdoulaye Seck, Ismail Jakobs, Ilay Camara
Midfielders: Idrissa Gana Gueye, Papa Gueye, Lamine Camara, Habib Diarra, Pathe Ciss, Pape Matar Sarr, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye
Forwards: Sadio Mane, Ismaila Sarr, Illiman Ndiaye, Assane Diao, Ibrahim Mbaye, Nicolas Jackson, Bamba Dieng, Cherif Ndiaye
