Rajasthan Royals will be looking to take a step closer to its second IPL title when it takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator in New Chandigarh on May 27.
Victory on Wednesday night will secure it a spot in Qualifier 2 against Gujarat Titans on May 29.
If it is to do so, it will be without captain Riyan Parag at full fitness. Parag has been struggling with a hamstring injury for the latter half of the season and missed RR’s clash against Lucknow Super Giants. He was also seen moving gingerly after returning to the side against Mumbai Indians.
“I’m definitely not fit,” Parag told broadcasters after the MI match. “I was not supposed to play today, I’m not supposed to play another game.” However, when asked if he would feature in the upcoming matches, he replied, “Yeah yeah, of course.”
Yashasvi Jaiswal has led Rajasthan Royals in the matches which Parag has been absent for.
