Neymar made his much-awaited return to the Brazil national team during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Group C encounter against Scotland on Wednesday.
This is the forward’s first game for the national side in 980 days, since the encounter against Uruguay in 2023.
The 34-year-old came off the bench in the 76th minute, replacing Matheus Cunha in the Brazil XI as he made his 14th World Cup appearance.
Neymar has scored eight goals and set up another four in the World Cup so far. He had missed the first two group games in this tournament after suffering an injury in the buildup to the tournament.
