India batter Jemimah Rodrigues was retired out during the side’s crucial Group-A clash against Australia in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Lord’s on Sunday.
The Women in Blue, earlier, decided to bat first after winning the toss ahead of a must-win match, with their semifinal hopes pinned on this result.
Jemimah left the crease with a 28-ball 34 before the 20th over after she seemingly slowed down in the middle. Her replacement, Richa Ghosh, got to face only a ball as India captain Harmanpreet Kaur smacked three consecutive sixes en route her fastest half-century against the Aussies.
