Spain sealed top spot in Group H of FIFA World Cup 2026 with a 1-0 win over Uruguay in their encounter in Guadalajara on Friday.

Luis de la Fuente’s side accumulated seven points in the group stage with two wins and a draw in three matches.

The side will now face the second-place finisher in Group J in the round of 32. The match will take place on July 2 (12:30 am IST on July 3) at the Los Angeles Stadium.

As it stands, Austria occupies that spot in Group J but will face Algeria in its final group game in a shootout to decide who finishes behind Argentina, which has sealed top spot.

The 2010 winner could face Croatia/Ghana or Colombia/Portugal in the round of 16 based on the results in the final matches in Group K and L.
