USA will look to make it a hat-trick of wins as it takes on Turkiye in a Group D clash at the Los Angeles Stadium on Thursday.

USA is already assured of the top spot in the group, while Turkiye is out of the World Cup after losing both its group games so far.

The Turkiye vs USA FIFA World Cup 2026 Group D match will be officiated by Mustapha Ghorbal.

The Algerian has been a FIFA-approved international referee since 2014 and primarily officiates in the French top-tier Ligue 1. He was also part of the officials team for last year’s FIFA Club World Cup and has also taken charge of games in the 2019, 2022, 2024 and 2025 editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Across the 284 games he has overseen in his career, Ghorbal has flashed the yellow card 1144 times (including 29 second yellows) while bringing out the red card 35 times.

Earlier in the World Cup, Ghorbal officiated the Haiti-Scotland fixture.
