Bangladesh and India had both qualified for the semifinals even before their final Group B match kicked off on Sunday, but India’s 3-0 win in Goa meant Bangladesh finished second and will face Nepal on Wednesday.
Nepal topped Group A after a 1-0 win over Bhutan, through Gita Rana’s solitary strike, and a 2-0 victory over Sri Lanka, with Renuka Nagarkote and Rashmi Kumari Ghising on the scoresheet.

Maldives’ defeats to India and Bangladesh had already ensured Bangladesh’s passage to the semifinals before the Group B decider. Sunday’s result was India’s first victory over Bangladesh in the SAFF Women’s Championship since 2019.
In the knockout stages, if a match is level at the end of normal time, extra time of two periods of 15 minutes each will be played, followed, if necessary, by a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner.
