Herve Renard will take charge of Tunisia for its FIFA World Cup 2026 Group-F encounter against Japan in Monterrey on Saturday.

Tunisia opted for a change in manager after the 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Sweden in its opening match of FIFA World Cup 2026.

The 57-year-old is a familiar face in international football, having helmed multiple teams in the African continent, including Ivory Coast, Morocco, Angola and Zambia. He was in charge of the Saudi Arabia team at the 2022 edition.

He also had a stint with the French national women’s team, taking them to the quarterfinal at the Women’s World Cup 2023.
