East Bengal extended its lead at the top of the Indian Women’s League 2025–26 standings to eight points with a commanding 6-0 win over SESA Football Academy at the East Bengal Ground in Kolkata on Saturday.
In the three matches played at the National Centre of Excellence, Kickstart FC Karnataka edged past Gokulam Kerala FC 1-0, Sribhumi Football Club and Nita Football Academy played out a 3-3 draw, while Garhwal United FC defeated Sethu FC 2-1.
Following Round 11, East Bengal sits top of the table with 30 points, followed by Sethu FC on 22 points. Nita and Kickstart are third and fourth, respectively, with 16 points each. Gokulam Kerala and Sribhumi occupy fifth and sixth with 13 and 12 points, respectively, while Garhwal and SESA remain in the relegation spots in seventh and eighth with 12 and two points, respectively.
For the Moshal Girls, Karthika Angamuthu scored twice, while Soumya Guguloth, Sushmita Lepcha, Fazila Ikwaput and Resty Nanziri also found the net to seal all three points.

The host took the lead in the 14th minute after SESA failed to clear their lines inside the final third. Angamuthu reacted quickest to the loose ball and struck from distance to find the net with an excellent finish.
East Bengal continued to dominate possession and doubled its advantage in the 28th minute through Angamuthu again. After Ikwaput was brought down just outside the box, the midfielder curled a well-taken free-kick towards the top-right corner. SESA goalkeeper Monger Sangita got a hand to the effort but could not keep it out.
SESA threatened briefly in the 35th minute when Maurine Achieng attempted an effort from distance, but the shot lacked power and was comfortably gathered by East Bengal goalkeeper Elangbam Panthoi Chanu.
The Moshal Girls struck twice in first-half stoppage time to put the game beyond doubt. Guguloth made it 3-0 in the 45+1st minute after weaving past multiple defenders at the edge of the box before calmly finishing past Sangita. Three minutes later, Loitongbam Ashalata Devi delivered a pinpoint cross from the right for Lepcha, who rose above her marker to head home East Bengal’s fourth.
East Bengal controlled proceedings comfortably after the break and added a fifth in the 70th minute. A sloppy pass at the back allowed Ikwaput to pounce on the loose ball, drive into the box and slot home with composure.
Nanziri completed the scoring in the 87th minute after cutting in from the right flank. What initially appeared to be a cross towards the far post ended up finding the net after taking a touch off the upright.
