India will begin its Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against Pakistan at Edgbaston on Sunday, June 14.

The match will be played at the same venue that hosted Friday’s tournament opener between England and Sri Lanka. Although the game was completed without interruption, rain earlier in the day left the outfield sluggish, with several shots holding up on the damp surface.

Weather could again be a factor. Forecasts suggest cloudy conditions at the scheduled start time of 2:30 PM local time (7:00 PM IST), with only a 10% chance of rain. The likelihood of showers is expected to increase later in the evening, peaking around 8:00 PM local time.
