Sri Madhusudhan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research has received accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2023 and is supported by the 400-bedded Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital.
This recognition affirms that the institution meets the essential national standards in patient safety, quality care, and hospital management systems.

Located in Muddenahalli, SMSIMSR offers free and high-quality medical services to underserved communities.
In 2025, SSI Group of Companies and SMSIMSR joined hands by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), wherein the SS Innovations donated a Surgical Robotic System to the medical institute and helped it establish a Robotic Cardiac Surgery Centre.
Commenting on the accreditation, Dr Padmashree, medical superintendent of SMSIMSR, said out of nearly 80000 to 90000 hospitals in the country, only about 1.4 per cent have achieved full accreditation, while around 3 per cent hold Entry-Level accreditation. “Entry-Level accreditation is only the first step, and we are confident of achieving full NABH accreditation in the near future,” she further added.
