It’s not a white paper; it’s an empty paper, said Thangam Thennarsu, who was finance minister in the previous DMK government, reacting to the white paper presented by the present Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam run government.

Tamil Nadu’s financial situation has been clearly explained in the financial report. But, this government, which came to power by misleading people with flashy promises, has released a report hyped up as a ‘white paper’ to hide the fact that it has turned into a ‘fiasco’ due to its lack of administrative ability and inability to fulfill promises made ‘without knowing the depth,’ and even that has flopped.

This white paper has been released as a theatrical act just to escape (escapism) the anger of people, who might come out to protest in the streets demanding the promises be fulfilled, and to cover up their incapability — nothing else!

“However, I will soon explain everything in detail properly,” he said in a social media post.
