Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has said that the State’s dedicated policy for life sciences will catapult the State into one of the top global clusters in this space. He said that the sector is expected to create over five lakh jobs in the next few years.

Addressing the Telangana Formation Day parade here on Tuesday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that the State has emerged as a Global Capability Centre (GCC) hub, with over 20 per cent of all GCCs in the country located in Hyderabad.

“Half of all the GCCs in the banking, financial and insurance sector set up in the country last year were located in Hyderabad. This signifies the importance of the State capital in this space,” he said.

Stating that the State Government could attract investment proposals worth ₹5.75 lakh crore during the Telangana Global Summit held in December 2025, he said that the State became the only State in the country to have a development Master Plan for the whole of the State.

“We have divided the State into CURE, PURE and RARE to implement a focussed developmental approach to the urban, peri-urban and rural areas. To achieve this, we launched Telangana Rising - 2047 to roll out the growth plan that is aimed at making the State a $3-trillion economy by 2047,” he said.

The CURE (Core Urban Region Economy) area within the Outer Ring Road will be developed as a world-class hub for services, he said.

Telangana will soon launch a cashless health insurance scheme for government employees. The Government, which recently launched a life insurance scheme with a cover of ₹1 crore, said that the Employees Healthcare Trust will handle the cashless insurance scheme.

He said that the Government is releasing ₹1,000 crore every month to clear arrears owed to employees and pensioners.

He said the government had kept tabs on land encroachers and reclaimed 1,045 acres of land around water bodies and other government land worth ₹60,000 crore.
