India imports LNG from US, Oman, and Nigeria in March as Qatar, UAE supplies dry up
India’s LNG imports fell 20 per cent year-on-year to 1.2 million tonnes in March 2026 as supplies from Qatar and the UAE dropped to zero amid the Iran conflict and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
While alternative imports from the US, Oman, and Nigeria partly offset the shortfall, the disruption has tightened Asian supply and pushed prices higher, though India’s power sector remains largely insulated due to its low reliance on gas.

Wipro Q4 earnings: profit slips, revenue rises; ₹15,000 crore buyback approved
Wipro reported a 1.89 per cent decline in March quarter FY26 net profit to ₹ 3,501.8 crore, even as revenue rose 7.6 per cent to ₹ 24,236.3 crore and announced its largest share buyback of ₹ 15,000 crore at ₹ 250 per share.
For FY26, net profit grew marginally by 0.47 per cent to Rs 13,197.4 crore with revenue up 3.96 per cent to Rs 92,624 crore, as the company focuses on AI-led growth and strategic deals.
