Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday informed the Rajya Sabha that the government has set up seven empowered groups headed by senior officials to oversee the impact of the West Asia conflict and take corrective measures. The focus of the empowered groups would be on key sectors like energy, prices of fuels, fertilizers, etc. In this context, the government, in association with the state government, would also look into the welfare of vulnerable sections like migrant workers, check cases of hoarding, and ensure the smooth supply of essential items through short, medium, and long-term strategies.
