IndiGo said on Tuesday that CEO Pieter Elbers had resigned with immediate effect for personal reasons, months after mass flight cancellations left tens of thousands of passengers stranded and drew regulatory scrutiny.
The airline added that managing director Rahul Bhatia will oversee the company in the interim until a replacement is hired.

The government has invoked the Essential Commodities Act to regulate natural gas supply, prioritising households, CNG transport, and LPG production.
An order from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas sets priority allocations, while GAIL will coordinate supplies and PPAC will determine pooled pricing for diverted gas.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said rising global crude oil prices are not expected to have a substantial impact on India’s inflation for now, as inflation remains near the lower bound of the RBI’s tolerance band.
