Mahindra Logistics plans 350-EV Alyte fleet for Noida International Airport
Amit Vijay Mohile · 2026-06-18 · via Latest Logistics, Transport News | The HinduBusinessLine

Passengers arriving at Noida International Airport are now being greeted by a fleet of around 70 Mahindra XUV 400 EVs operated by Mahindra Logistics’ Alyte mobility platform, as the company positions itself for a major expansion in Delhi-NCR’s rapidly evolving premium electric mobility market.

The company, which launched services as the airport’s official taxi partner following the start of commercial operations at Noida International Airport this month, plans to expand Alyte’s fleet and network five-fold during FY27. Based on its current fleet of about 70 vehicles across Delhi and Noida, the expansion would take the platform to nearly 350 vehicles, implying the addition of around 280 EVs over the next year.

The scale-up marks Mahindra Logistics’ biggest push yet into consumer mobility and comes as a growing number of operators race to capture airport and urban transportation demand in the National Capital Region.

NOIDA AIRPORT MOBILITY

Alyte Privé was launched in Delhi in August 2025 and has since expanded into airport transportation, offering guaranteed rides, trained chauffeurs, fixed pricing, zero cancellations and a fully electric fleet aimed at business and leisure travellers.

Mahindra Logistics commenced operations as the official airport taxi partner at Noida International Airport on June 15 and plans to progressively expand the service as passenger traffic builds at India’s newest international gateway.

The company said it intends to scale in a measured manner, focusing on customer experience and operational reliability before expanding into additional cities over the next two to three years.

PREMIUM EV MOBILITY RACE

Mahindra’s expansion comes as Delhi-NCR emerges as the focal point of a new battle for premium electric mobility customers. The opening of Noida International Airport, coupled with the vacuum created by BluSmart’s exit from the market, has attracted a wave of operators targeting airport transfers and high-value urban travel.

Among the most aggressive entrants is Green SM, the mobility arm backed by Vietnam’s Vingroup and EV maker VinFast. The company has begun rolling out a fleet of 1,000 company-owned electric vehicles in Delhi-NCR, including the VinFast VF 5 and the Limo Green MPV, as it seeks to build brand visibility ahead of VinFast’s retail vehicle launch in India.

Like Alyte, Green SM is betting on an asset-heavy model built around company-owned vehicles, employee drivers and fixed pricing to deliver a more predictable customer experience than traditional ride-hailing platforms.

TREVEL EXPANSION

Competition is also coming from startups. Gurugram-based EV mobility platform Trevel recently raised $1 million from investors including India Accelerator, Finvolve and the Haldiram Family Office to fund fleet expansion, technology development and operations.

Founded in September 2025, Trevel has grown from four vehicles to more than 50 premium EVs in Delhi-NCR and plans to expand its fleet to 500 vehicles by March 2027. The company operates airport transfers, city rides and hourly rentals using vehicles including the MG Windsor EV, MG ZS EV, BYD e6 and Kia Carens Clavis EV.

The emergence of multiple fleet operators underscores growing confidence in airport transportation as one of the most attractive use cases for electric vehicles. Airport transfers offer predictable routes, easier charging management, high vehicle utilisation and customers willing to pay a premium for reliability and service quality.

CORPORATE EV FLEETS

The opportunity extends beyond airport passengers. Operators such as Refex Green Mobility have built sizeable electric fleets serving multinational corporations, technology parks and airlines through dedicated employee transportation contracts.

As a result, Delhi-NCR is witnessing the emergence of two distinct electric mobility markets: premium airport and consumer transportation on one side, and institutional and corporate mobility on the other.

MAHINDRA’S STRATEGY

For Mahindra Logistics, Alyte is more than an airport taxi business. The platform represents the company’s attempt to build a consumer-facing mobility brand while creating a commercial deployment channel for Mahindra’s electric vehicles.

Alyte currently operates through two service categories. Alyte Privé serves the premium electric mobility segment, while Alyte Select carries forward the airport taxi operations previously associated with Meru across airports including Mumbai, Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Pune.

As new fleets hit the road and Noida International Airport ramps up operations, Delhi-NCR is quickly becoming India’s most competitive market for premium electric mobility services.

For Mahindra Logistics and its rivals, the challenge will be not just adding vehicles but convincing travellers that reliability, service quality and electrification can coexist in a market long dominated by traditional ride-hailing platforms.
