A fire broke out in terminal 1 of Mumbai airport on Thursday evening resulting in flight delays. No one was hurt in the incident.
A few of aerobridges were temporarily closed as a matter of precaution. Passengers also complained of system failure and an internet outage. According to a source 11 flights were delayed.
In a statement, Mumbai International Airport Ltd ( MIAL) said a minor fire was reported at Terminal 1 due to a short circuit at 6.10 p.m “The fire was immediately bought under control by the emergency response teams within minutes. Airport operations remain unaffected,” MIAL said
