Driven by experiential consumption and smart infrastructure, the Indian live events industry is projected to surpass ₹15,000 crore in the coming years. Concurrently, the domestic Pro-AV market is on track to reach $150 million by 2034, growing at 4 per cent CAGR.

The “Concert Economy” is fueling a massive multiplier effect across Indian tourism, hospitality and infrastructure, expanding rapidly from major metros into tier-II and -III markets, predicted industry experts at the 24th edition of PALM AV-ICN Expo 2026, organised by Informa Markets in Mumbai on Thursday.

Anil Chopra, Founding Director, PALM AV-ICN Expo said the live stage performances and concerts have emerged as a powerful cultural and economic force across metro cities and tier-II and -III markets alike.

From audiences of 20,000 and 30,000 at regional concerts to stadiums filled with over 1 lakh music fans, India’s concert industry has reached an unprecedented scale, he said.

Infrastructure push transforms entertainment into multi-day festival format

Siddhartha Chauhan, Founder and Managing Director, Mega Sound India, said, driven by rapid infrastructural growth, including expanding international airports and world-class hotel chains, what used to be simple entertainment has transformed into multi-day, multi-artist mini-festivals featuring 20 to 25 artists.

To put the localised scale into perspective, the wedding market in a single state like Rajasthan alone is now valued at over Rs 1,000 crore, he said.

India’s Pro-AV and LED display markets see strong growth

Sanket Rambhia, Managing Director of Xtreme Media, said India’s LED display market is currently valued at nearly ₹2,000 crore and is growing at approximately 15 per cent, with the rental LED segment alone accounting for ₹600 crore to ₹650 crore.

A 1 lakh square feet domestic manufacturing facility has already been established to position India as a credible global manufacturing hub, he added.

Global entertainment tech outlook supports India’s growth trajectory

Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, said the global entertainment lighting industry is expected to grow from $ 12.5 billion to $ 18 billion by 2031, anchoring India’s high-growth entertainment ecosystem.

With India’s live events industry growing steadily over the next few years, the demand for integrated, intelligent and immersive technology solutions is accelerating rapidly, he added.
