Sumeet SSG BVG Maharashtra EMS has announced a strategic partnership with Pinnacle Industries to design and deliver a new fleet of ambulances for the Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (MEMS 108) project.
Under the collaboration, the partners will roll out Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal ambulances aimed at enhancing pre-hospital care and emergency response across the State.
The EMS venture, a joint initiative involving Sumeet Group, BVG India Ltd. and Spain-based SSG Transporte Sanitario, will deploy and operate 1,756 emergency vehicles across all 36 districts of Maharashtra. The project will be executed under a 10-year public-private partnership (PPP-DBFOT) model.
Pinnacle Industries will serve as the end-to-end ambulance conversion partner, delivering vehicles equipped with medical-grade interiors, modular storage, integrated oxygen systems and advanced electrical architecture. The ambulances will comply with AIS-125 standards and support global medical equipment integration.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve emergency response times, patient safety and healthcare accessibility, particularly in remote and underserved regions, while strengthening Maharashtra’s overall emergency medical infrastructure.
