SolarSquare raises $53 million Series C funding led by B ...
BL Bengaluru Bureau · 2026-06-16 · via Latest Share Market News, Sensex, Nifty, BSE, NSE Today | The HinduBusinessLine

SolarSquare has successfully secured $53 million in its Series C funding round, representing the largest venture investment within India’s residential solar sector to date.

The financing round was anchored by B Capital, with existing investor Lightspeed heavily increasing its commitment.

The round also saw enthusiastic participation from a syndicate of returning investors, including Elevation Capital, Lowercarbon Capital, Rainmatter by Zerodha, and Good Capital, bringing the company’s total capital raised since its inception to more than $100 million.

The company intends to deploy this fresh injection of capital to aggressively accelerate its geographic expansion into new cities across the country.

Additionally, SolarSquare plans to deepen its proprietary technology and operations platform, recruit top-tier talent, and scale its capabilities across future growth areas such as battery solutions and home energy management.

Ultimately, the funds will help the platform build out a comprehensive digital operating system for India’s domestic energy transition, transitioning the brand into a household name for new-age home energy.

The leadership team emphasized how drastically the market has shifted during this phase of growth. Shreya Mishra, Co-Founder & CEO of SolarSquare, stated: “Five years ago, residential solar was still very nascent. Today, the category has inflected with 1 Lac homes adopting solar every 10 days in India. We want to build the operating system for this energy transition — with installation solutions, after-sales, financing, battery solutions, and home energy management.”

This momentum was echoed by the investing partners, who view the company as a structural leader in the region. Karan Mohla, General Partner at B Capital, remarked: “India’s energy transition will be won home by home, city by city. What drew us in is the quality and tenure of the founders, a team that has spent a decade patiently building category infrastructure. We believe SolarSquare is best positioned to become the national brand symbolic of that transition.”

Established in 2015 by Neeraj Jain, Nikhil Nahar, and Shreya Mishra, SolarSquare has scaled to become India’s top residential rooftop solar brand, running at an annualized revenue run-rate of over ₹1,000 crore.

Operating a vertically integrated, full-stack model, the Mumbai-headquartered company manages the entire consumer lifecycle from consultation and custom system design to financing support and long-term maintenance.

To date, the company has powered approximately 50,000 homes, distinguishing itself as the first player in the Indian market to provide institutional performance guarantees on domestic solar investments.
