TCS Q4 results live today: Here’s what Elara says on IT sector
According to Elara Capital, the Nifty IT index has corrected 23 per cent since early February 2026, with both large-cap and mid-cap IT stocks declining around 20–21 per cent. While concerns around AI-led disruption and loss of business have eased, companies continue to face “productivity pass-through” pressures as clients demand higher efficiency across contracts, potentially leading to near- to medium-term revenue deflation. However, IT firms are expected to offset this through cost optimisation, slower hiring and improved revenue per employee, helping stabilise profitability.
