India’s kitchens are steadily moving toward electrification and Stovekraft is betting big on that shift to drive its next phase of growth.
Managing Director Rajendra Gandhi said the company expects electric cooking appliances, ranging from induction cooktops to rice cookers and air fryers, to emerge as its strongest growth engine, as consumers increasingly move away from traditional LPG-based cooking.
“The next wave of growth is clearly coming from electric cooking,” Gandhi said, pointing to rising adoption and a broader policy push to reduce dependence on gas.
The maker of Pigeon appliances is already seeing strong momentum in the segment. As demand has scaled up, the company has significantly ramped up production of electric cooktops in recent months. The company saw a 4-times spike in the average weekly sales of induction cooktops on e-commerce channels. We currently manufacture around 2 lakh units of induction cooktops at our facility at Harohalli, Karnataka, and plan to ramp this up in the coming financial year, said Gandhi.
Online dominance, exports
Stovekraft is also doubling down on its omni-channel strategy. E-commerce contributes over 35 per cent of revenue, even as the company has rapidly expanded its exclusive retail network to nearly 350 stores since 2022. These outlets serve as both revenue drivers and key touchpoints for consumer insights, helping refine product offerings and improve visibility in underpenetrated markets.
Exports remain another important pillar, contributing 12-13 per cent of the revenue. The company works with global retailers such as Walmart and IKEA under OEM partnerships, though it plans to cap exports at 25 per cent to maintain focus on its domestic branded business.
To support its growing scale, Stovekraft is also strengthening its after-sales ecosystem, with over 650 service franchisees and a 2,500-strong team. Gandhi emphasised that customer engagement goes beyond warranty cycles, as the company looks to build long-term brand relationships.
With strong backward integration and capacity to double revenues from existing facilities, Stovekraft is positioning itself at the centre of India’s evolving, electricity-led kitchen transformation.
