Global snacking company, pladis, known for brands such as McVitie’s has announced the appointment of Mohit Dutta as Country General Manager for India. 

The appointment comes at a time when the business is gearing up for its next phase in India, with a sharper focus on building scale, deepening distribution and responding to evolving consumer demand across both urban and emerging markets, the statement noted.

The company behind the McVitie’s and GODIVA brands continues to build its presence in India, the focus will be on driving category growth through stronger market execution and a more targeted approach to channel expansion.

Dutta brings more than 18 years of experience across leading FMCG organisations. He joined Pladis in 2022 as Sales Director - India. Prior to this, he spent nearly a decade at Mars in leadership roles across trade marketing and sales, and earlier held positions at Hindustan Unilever and Shell.

“The priority now is to accelerate growth through sharper execution, while continuing to expand our reach and build a business that stays closely aligned with evolving consumer demand,” said Dutta.
