REC Ltd on Thursday said it has signed an agreement with Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA) to strengthen quality testing and assurance mechanisms for materials deployed under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

Under the agreement, REC Limited and ERDA will collaborate on third-party quality testing of materials used in RDSS projects, technical support, capacity-building initiatives, and development of robust quality assurance frameworks.

The collaboration aims to ensure that materials deployed in RDSS works conform to prescribed standards and contribute towards enhanced operational reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network across the country.
