Avenue Supermarts crossed 500 DMart outlets and continued to strengthen its e-commerce presence, while maintaining stable margins and supply chains.

Avenue Supermarts Limited reported a steady rise in its quarterly consolidated performance for the March quarter (Q4FY26), with revenue and profit growing in double digits, supported by store expansion and stable operating conditions.

The company’s consolidated revenue for the quarter stood at ₹17,684 crore, up 19 per cent on year, while net profit rose to ₹656 crore from ₹551 crore in the corresponding period. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) increased to ₹1,211 crore from ₹955 crore, with EBITDA margin improving to 6.8 per cent from 6.4 per cent year-on-year.

FY26 performance shows steady growth

For the full year FY26, consolidated revenue came in at ₹68,821 crore compared to ₹59,358 crore in FY25, while net profit grew to ₹2,970 crore from ₹2,707 crore.

On a standalone basis, reflecting the core retail business, the company posted revenue of ₹17,205 crore in Q4FY26, up 19 per cent year on year. Net profit rose 16.9 per cent to ₹725 crore, while EBITDA climbed 25.5 per cent to ₹1,231 crore.

Demand and store maturity support growth

Commenting on performance, managing director and CEO Anshul Asawa said revenue growth was driven by consistent demand, with stores older than 2 years registering 10.8 per cent growth during the quarter, compared with 8.1% a year earlier. He noted that gross margins improved slightly, while costs remained largely in line with business growth.

Asawa highlighted that geopolitical tensions triggered a temporary spike in consumer purchases in March, which later normalised. Importantly, the company did not face any significant supply chain disruptions during the period.

Store expansion crosses 500 DMart outlets

The retailer continued its aggressive expansion, adding 58 stores during the quarter and reaching a milestone of 500 DMart outlets. This scale-up, the company said, reflects strong execution and customer trust.

DMart Ready focuses on metros and optimisation

On the e-commerce front, DMart Ready maintained its focus on key metro markets. Whole-time director and CEO of Avenue E-Commerce, Vikram Dasu, said the business is prioritising home delivery and has rationalised operations, including exiting one city during the quarter. As of March-end, the online business operates in 18 cities.
