Aster DM Healthcare Ltd on Wednesday said nurses at its various hospitals in Kerala have returned to work and operations have now resumed in full capacity at the units following order by the Kerala High Court.

Aster DM Healthcare operates seven hospitals in Kerala and operations were disrupted as nursing staff across hospitals in the state went on a statewide strike from March 9, 2026, led by the United Nurses Association, raising demands relating to revision in wage structures.

The Kerala High Court had directed the United Nurses Association to defer the strike and ensure that its members do not abstain from work or engage in any form of strike or obstruction until March 19, 2026, which extended till May 31, 2026, Aster DM Healthcare Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

The proceedings continue to be pending with the High Court for a final settlement between the Kerala Pvt Hospital Association and United Nurses Association, it added.

"We wish to inform you that, in the interim, the entire nurse staff in the various Aster hospital units across Kerala, have returned to work and the operations have now resumed in full capacity at all such units," the company said.

Aster DM Healthcare said it has incurred an additional revenue loss of ₹5.78 crore due to the nurse strike.

"Given the entire nursing staff has resumed operations and if the status quo in relation to this strike remains until the settlement terms are agreed, we do not expect any further revenue loss," the company said.
