AWE Funds, an early-growth venture equity platform, has invested an undisclosed amount in Digital Paani, a water-tech platform redefining how cities and industries manage and scale water and wastewater systems.
AWE Funds’ investment will be used to strengthen Digital Paani’s technology stack, enhance real-time monitoring and predictive capabilities, and support expansion across utilities, municipalities, and enterprise clients.
AWE Funds is focused on building scalable deeptech and technology-led innovations across Climate, Health, and the Future of Work. The equity platform has backed several “Warehouse” startups through initial commitments prior to finalizing its maiden India fund.
These investments include agritech platform Freshokartz Agri, fintech firm Agam International, dental AI developer Velmeni.ai, and healthtech startup Remedico, as well as support for Blackburn Technologies. The AWE Funds team has collectively made five investments from its current platform and 87 investments overall. AWE Funds seeks to invest in an additional 13 to 17 more companies through the current fund.
Commenting on the investment, Seema Chaturvedi, Founder and Managing Partner at AWE Funds, said, “Digital Paani’s approach of building a data-led layer over existing infrastructure enables significantly better visibility and efficiency in how water is managed.”
Mansi Jain, Co-Founder and CEO at Digital Paani, said AWE Funds’ ClimateTech focus and hands-on approach make them a strong fit as Digital Paani scales internationally.
