Sarovar Hotels sees continued traction in tier II-III cities as well as pilgrimage centres, it’s chief executive officer Jatin Khanna said on Monday.

“Markets such as Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Rishikesh and other spiritual hubs along with industrial and infrastructure-led growth centres will be key focus areas for us,” Khanna said.

Since January 2025, Sarovar Hotels signed 73 new hotels strengthening it’s domestic footprint. “ Our development pipeline remains robust with 20 plus openings planned in 2026. These include a mix of business, leisure and pilgrimage destinations such as Kota, Mathura, Bhubaneswar and Dharamshala,” Khanna said.

Sarovar Hotels has a strong focus on midscale segment which is also the largest category in India in terms of existing room inventory and pipeline. The company is also adding hotels under upscale segment under the Royal Tulip brand in Nepal.

These growth plans come amid strong growth in domestic travel. Average room rates have surpassed pre-pandemic levels as demand continues to outpace supply.

In CY 25 Sarovar Hotels clocked revenue of ₹2,000 crore. This year the chain is targeting 15 per cent growth over 2025. Currently it has a portfolio of 150 hotels with 11,000 keys across 87 destinations.
