Ahmedabad-based Rajesh Power Services Ltd (RPSL) has entered Odisha, securing orders worth ₹211.68 crore from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (OPTCL), marking one of its largest wins in the transmission EPC segment.
The contract involves the construction of a 220 kV underground transmission cable connecting the Grid Substation (GSS) at Mendhasal with the Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Chandaka B in Odisha. It also includes extension works at the AIS bay at Mendhasal and the GIS bay at Chandaka B.
The order marks the company’s entry into eastern India and expands its execution footprint beyond its core markets of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. “The award of these orders from OPTCL marks an important milestone for Rajesh Power as we expand our presence into Odisha. It reflects the confidence that utilities place in our execution capabilities and technical expertise in the transmission and distribution sector,” said Kurang Panchal, Managing Director, Rajesh Power, that is engaged in the execution of power transmission and distribution EPC projects across India, with expertise in extra-high-voltage transmission systems, sub-stations and underground cabling infrastructure.
